IMPORTANCE OF STRETCHING
Stretching increases flexibility, circulation, blood flow and post workout recovery. I love stretching at night before bedtime with my Stretch Straps (now available in black and hot pink, includes a free stretching guide & signed photo.) Stretch Straps help me hold each stretch longer and I get a deeper supported, safer stretch as compared to not using them. Stretching at night is so relaxing and I sleep better.
When to stretch: before or after working out? I do not recommend stretching before you workout because your muscles are cold: would you stretch a rubber band that just came out of the freezer? :P I always stretch after I lift weights, when my muscles are warmed up, I am more flexible and get more from the stretches.
